Zhuhai Wenyuan Middle School Cerulean Youth Choir
Zhuhai Cerulean Youth Choir was established in mid-1990s of 20th Century. Under the leadership of Mr. Shang Lihua and Mr. Hu Haisheng, the serious and enthusiastic Youth Choir, a group of middle school girls, showed up themselves in many Zhuhai’s big shows and gained lots of prizes, establishing favourable team foundation.
In 2005, Zhuhai Wenyuan Middle School Cerulean Youth Choir began to recruit good students aged from 12 to 14. Teached by a senior conductor, Guo Yang, the children loving music sing happliy in such a wonderful choir. Moreover, keeping the fine tradition, Zhuhai Wenyuan Middle School Cerulean Youth Choir obtained First Prize in Zhuhai Students Chorus Competition in continuous years. In addition, as a youngest team, the choir performed in the first session of Zhuhai Municipal Chorus in 2009 and acquired remarkable results. With fine chorus and arts atmosphere brought up by Zhuhai Municipal Government and Educational Bureau, Zhuhai Wenyuan Middle School Cerulean Youth Choir is developing better and better with the strong support of the school, which fosters lots of excellent choir members and attracts more and more music-loving students to join in.
Shang Lihua
Conductor
Mr. Shang Lihua, conductor of Zhuhai Wenyuan Middle School Cerulean Youth Choir, graduated from South China Normal University majoring in music education. Mr. Shang Lihua now works as the senior music teacher in Zhuhai No. 2 High School. He is also a member of China Choirs Association and the Music Education Research Seminar of China Education Association. Moreover, He also acts as one of the members of Guangdong Musicians Association and Guangdong Wind Music Association.
Mr. Shang Lihua has acted as an actor, performer, chorus conductor and orchestra conductor in the past thirty years on his pursuit of art education. Mr. Shang Lihua has been the instructor and conductor of Macau Yuet Wah College Wind Band ever since 1997 and led the band to take part in some large-scaled performances such as Hongkong regression and Macao regression. In addition, the band has also participated in the 2003 Macao International Orchestra Festival and the 2007 Macao Asia Pacific Orchestra Festival.
