Shenzhen Experimental School Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1993, Shenzhen Experimental School Symphony Orchestra has developed rapidly in recent years through practice and transformed into a comprehensive orchestra with complete voice parts and exquisite musical instruments.
For years, the school symphony orchestra has been invited to participate in numerous performances, competitions and exchange programs organized by such countries as Austria, Australia, France, South Korea and south-east Asian regions like, Hong Kong, Taiwan and so on. So far, Shenzhen Experimental School Symphony Orchestra has successfully held many concerts which have received applauses from home and abroad. Due to the renowned reputation, Shenzhen Experimental School Symphony Orchestra is now on the way to the first-class orchestra nationwide and worldwide.
Ever since 2000, the school orchestra symphony has been capable of playing the magnificent piano concerto the “Yellow River’, the pathetic Violin Concerto “The Butterfly Lovers”, the cheerful masterpiece “Radetzky March” and symphony “Ode to the Red Flag”. In recent years, the school orchestra has put on public performances, including such well-known masterpieces as Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5”, Overture “Russlan & Ludmilla”, “Dance of the Yao Tribe”, “Torch Festival”, Overture "Le Corsaire" and the light cavalry overture and so on.
Luo Zhenhua
Conductor
Mr. Luo Zhenhua, a promising young conductor in China, is currently assigned as supervisor of Shenzhen Experimental School Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Luo, who studied under the guidance of Professor YuFeng, Dean of Conducting Department and President of the Central Conservatory of Music, is well recognized as one of the very active young conductors and has cooperated with the leading symphony orchestras at home. Mr. Luo has successively directed the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the National Opera House Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Adolescent Symphony Orchestra, Gansu Dance Troupe Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra and so on. In the meantime, Mr. Luo has gained great opportunities to be supervised by such contemporary masters as Ozawa Seiji, Daniel Harding and Daniel Barenboim and has been highly praised. In 2015, Mr. Luo was appointed by Shenzhen Experimental School as Supervisor of the school Symphony Orchestra. Six months after he assumed responsibility, two outstanding concerts were performed to the public, which has witnessed giant leaps of the school orchestra symphony in both the musical skills and the repertoire.
