ENSEMBLES 2024
OJPA - Alicante’s Youth Orchestra
THE COMMITMENT TO INSPIRE THE FUTURE
The OJPA was born to encourage the training of young musical talents. And that objective means being very clear about one thing: training musicians means educating people. Send them values, ideas and commitments in a didactic way that not only encourages them to be better in their discipline: also in their daily lives. For this reason, the OJPA is more than just a simple orchestra: it is a fundamental stage in the lives of many people. A meeting point where young people from all over the province share experiences and dreams with a fundamental common denominator: their passion for music. The fifteen years of history of the OJPA are full of special moments that speak of the strength of the project and its ability to place its participants in environments and situations capable of boosting their talent and career. Since its creation, the OJPA has made concert tours throughout Austria, the Netherlands, Germany and France, participating in the most prestigious Music Festivals in Europe: Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Germany, SCL-Summa Cum Laude Festival in Vienna , FIJO- Alicante International Youth Orchestra Festival, etc. In 2019, the Orchestra in charge of performing the Concert organized by the CEV in the presence of His Majesty King Felipe VI. In Madrid, our Orchestra was the group in charge of closing the Cruce de Caminos 2019 days in the presence of Nicholas Negroponte and Mario Vargas Llosa.
