ENSEMBLES 2024

Tallinn College of Music and Ballet Chamber Choir

Tallinn College of Music and Ballet Chamber Choir

Tallinn College of Music and Ballet is the only school in Estonia providing professional music education alongside the general primary and secondary curriculum. The mixed choir of Tallinn College of Music and Ballet is a choir of young musicians, which started its activities in the fall of 2022. In the current academic year, 40 singers sing in the choir, among whom there are students of classical choral conducting, singing, music theory, composition, piano players, string and wind instruments players. In addition to an interesting and vocally developing repertoire, the choir aims to develop young musicians' self-expression and the ability to form musical phrases through their voices, stage courage and knowledge of different musical styles. The choir offers the opportunity to participate in teamwork and the joy of makeing music together, even for those whose professional training is mainly in individual lessons. The mixed choir, which has grown out of the Tallinn Music High School Chamber Choir, has a long history of musicians who are professional singers by now.
